Export AI chats without sending them to us
GingerCat runs from the Chrome toolbar on supported AI chat pages. It turns the current chat into clean local files.
1. Open a supported chat
Open a conversation on ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini in Chrome. GingerCat is currently optimized for those web chats.
2. Choose a format
Export to PDF, DOCX, Markdown, HTML, TXT or JSON. PDF and DOCX are useful for polished documents; Markdown and JSON are useful for technical and archival workflows.
3. Pick the scope
Export the full conversation or AI answers only. Full conversation includes your messages and AI replies. AI answers only skips your prompts.
4. Save locally
The extension generates the export locally in your browser. Files are saved through your browser download flow.
What is preserved
- Headings, paragraphs, bullet lists and numbered lists.
- Code blocks, quotes and tables where possible.
- Visible images and attachment references where available.
- Provider, chat title, source URL and export date metadata.
Known limits
Some protected provider attachments may be listed by name but not downloadable as raw files. Very large PDF and DOCX exports can take time. Provider website changes can affect export quality until adapters are updated.
